Who Will Be the First to... In Orbital Space?

Who Will Be the First to ... in Orbital Space?

We need people to promote private ownership in orbital space:
When we unleash the competitive free market in orbital space, the future will be fantastic!

Who will be first at this or that in orbital space ?
Who will be the first person to own a private dwelling habitat module in orbital space?
Who will be the first baby born in orbital space?
Who will be the first to own their own mini-space shuttle in orbital space? Will it look like a Volkswagen Van or like an American van?
Who will be the first person to open their private business in orbital space ?
Who will be the first person to open a private repair business in orbital space?
Who will be the first person to open a private garbage dump and re-cycling center in orbital space?
Who will be the first person to start a real farm in orbital space?
Who will be the first person to be elected mayor of an orbital space colony?
Who will be the first person to start a real mining operation in orbital space?
Who will be the first person to start a real college in orbital space?
Who will start the first movie studio in orbital space?
Who will start the first fish farm in orbital space?
Who will start the first full-time dental practice in orbital space?
Who will start the first TV studio in orbital space?
Who will start the first habitat manufacturing business in orbital space?
Who will be the first person to .... in orbital space?
There are many firsts to be achieved in orbital space ! Orbital space colonization will be a game of achievement.

The Orbiting Space Colonies Will Grow

The Orbiting Space Colonies Will Grow
*May 20, 2006 by Michael Goodspaceguy Nelson
( This is my message # 9. I have also put more than twenty messages on my other blog at http://colonizespace.blogspot.com )

*The spinning, orbiting space colonies will start small (perhaps at or near the International Space Station and also high above the equator?) but then as the forces of private ownership and the competitive, free market are allowed and are promoted in the tiny, beginning space colonies, the orbiting colonies will prosper and start to grow into the great, spinning, orbital cities that they are destined to become.
*The growing, orbital, space colonies will contain many economic and technological functions. For example, they will triumph in the technology of recycling. They will grow great in green house agriculture. They will grow great in agricultural, fish farming aquariums. They will use the abundant solar energy of the Sun.
*The people of the orbiting space colonies will mine the waters of the comets. The waters will be used for shielding from radiation and will be used to support life in the beginning settlements and will be used to expand life throughout our solar system.
* The people of the orbiting space colonies will mine the asteroids to gain the metals and materials with which to expand the growing, orbiting, space cities to come.
*The orbiting space colonies will be spinning to provide different levels of artificial gravity, from near zero gravity at the center of spin, to lunar gravity further from the center of spin, to Mars gravity, to Earth gravity.
*The orbiting space colonies will be modular for easy add-on expansion.
* There will be modules within modules within modules, with lesser air pressure in the outer modules.
*The beginning, orbiting space colonies could start as privately-owned, connected modules, subsidized by NASA.
* Connected end-to-end, the growing, long row of habitable modules could be spun comfortable end-over-end to simulate gravity of different degrees in the different, connected modules.

Redirect the Money of NASA Towards Orbital Colonization!

Redirect the Money of NASA Up into Orbital Space Colonization !
May 14, 2006 by Michael Goodspaceguy Nelson
( This is my message # 8. I have also put more than twenty messages on my other blog at http://colonizespace.blogspot.com )

* The National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) spends more than a billion dollars per month. It's 2006 budget is about $16. 4 billion. This money could be used much more effectively for research on how to live well and build well in orbital space for the upward advancement of our human civilization.
* NASA should redirect it money and spend it on the building of the coming orbital space colonies.
* Most portions of the spinning, orbiting space settlements should be immediately privatized by NASA after construction. This would create an additional cash inflow to NASA to finance the in-space site construction of even more orbiting space habitat moduless, which in turn should also be privatized by NASA so that many people, corporations, and institutions can own and develop the orbiting space colonies. I'm talking about rapid development.
* Our strength is that the United States is a competitive, free market country.
* We and NASA should play to this strength and open our Solar System to the power of economic, competitive, free market capitalism. We who understand the principles of economics and the principles of orbital space colonization should lead the way.
* Right now, known, intelligent life in our Milky Way Galaxy is confined to a small ball in space that I call Spaceship Earth and others call our planet Earth. We need to rapidly spread intelligent life out into our solar system before something bad stops us.
* Under capitalism, individuals should become owners of some of the habitats in the orbiting space colonies.
* Colleges and universities should become owners of some of the habitats in the orbiting space colonies.
Many individual owners in the orbiting space colonies will make more scientific progress than NASA can make alone. We need NASA to build a partnership between itself and competitive, free market capitalism in order to rocket intelligent human life throughout our solar system.
* Building various small but growing, spinning, orbiting space colonies is one of the most effective things we can do right now to advance technology and to insure the survival of the human race from such dangers as possible nuclear war on Earth and the coming next impact on Earth of a large killer asteroid.
* The Earth grew and grew as stuff from space fell down upon it. Small stuff is still falling. Some day another large object will fall toward the Earth from space and could cause much destruction if the people in the orbiting space colonies are not ready to rescue the Earth.
* Instead of allowing these incoming asteroids and comets and meteroids to smash into the Earth, the orbital space colonists could instead cut them up, mine them, and use their materials to grow the orbiting colonies.
* Think, study, and colonize orbital space, Michael Goodspaceguy Nelson

The Far Side of the Moon

The Far Side of the Moon
(This is my message # 7. I have also put more than twenty messages on my other blog at http://colonizespace.blogspot.com )

* Long ago, on October 7, 1959, the Luna 3 Robotic Space Craft from the former Soviet Union took photographs of the far side of the Moon ( another first for the human race.) Through the former and faulty Soviet Union, humankind had made progess.
* Some of the people of the United States were waking up to the future possibilities in space. Unfortunately, many Americans (through lack of study of orbital space colonization ) would fall asleep again after our successes with the Saturn V Rocket when under the 1960's leadership of President Kennedy and President Johnson we got to the Moon in 1969.
* We can make much more progress now. Our technology had advanced, and some of us know about orbital space colonization.
